Training, therapies, pricing & visits

What is the main program at StretchFormation?

Our headline program is personalized posture, alignment and strength training: training into optimal alignment, balanced strength, stability, dynamic posture and movement, with the goal of long-term physical health and longevity.

Will strength training make me bulky?

That is not the goal here. We help you build lean muscle, not bulk: our training emphasizes balanced strength, joint stability and alignment rather than maximal muscle size or overloading muscles. Most sessions focus on control, positioning and quality movement patterns that support long-term physical health.

Why combine stretching and soft-tissue work with training?

Tight or restricted areas can make it hard to get into good positions. Supporting therapies like assisted stretching, myofascial release, gua sha, cupping and Graston technique help you access better range of motion, and the training then builds strength and control in that new range so it lasts.

Who is it for?

Adults who want to move and feel better for the long haul: desk workers with posture concerns, active people and athletes who want a stronger foundation, people who have finished physical therapy and want to keep progressing, and longevity-minded clients of any fitness level.

Do I need to be flexible or fit to start?

No. We meet you where you are. If restricted mobility is limiting your positions, we may use supporting therapies such as assisted stretching or myofascial release to help you access the range you need to train.

Can this replace physical therapy?

No. Our training is not medical treatment. If you have pain, a recent injury or a medical condition, see a licensed healthcare provider first. StretchFormation is located inside the JAM Sports and Spine physical therapy facility, and many clients use our training to keep building after rehab.

What are supporting therapies?

Assisted stretching, myofascial release, myofascial stretch therapy, gua sha, cupping and Graston technique (IASTM). They are mobility and recovery tools that help you get into better positions so your training can build strength and alignment there.

What is the difference between gua sha, cupping and Graston technique?

Both use tools on the skin. Gua sha is a traditional East Asian scraping practice; the Graston Technique® is a modern, trademarked instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) system with stainless-steel tools.

How much does a session cost?

Single 55-minute sessions are one-on-one and have been listed at $125. Packages of 10 sessions ($1,000) and 20 sessions ($1,600) and semi-private monthly memberships (small groups of 1 to 4 people) are available. See pricing; prices may change, so please confirm when booking.

Can I combine services in one session?

Yes. If you want a combination of modalities, just ask. Certain therapists are specifically trained in some techniques and need to be requested at the time of booking.

Do you take insurance?

No. StretchFormation is a wellness company, not a physical therapy practice, so we don't bill insurance. We accept HSA and FSA cards as a payment method. General fitness usually doesn't qualify, so check with your plan and keep your receipt.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing you can move and stretch in, like workout wear.

Where are you located?

We are at 12813 Victory Blvd., North Hollywood, CA 91606, inside the JAM Sports and Spine facility, and work with clients from across Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley, including Valley Village, Studio City, Sherman Oaks, Toluca Lake and Burbank.
