Movement assessment with Kinotek in Los Angeles

StretchFormation isn’t just training. Every client gets assessed, and we track your mobility and progress with objective data (scores and ranges of motion across movements) using Kinotek’s LiDAR-based movement assessment.

In short

We assess how you move with Kinotek’s markerless, LiDAR-based 3D motion capture, train you with StretchFormation’s proprietary alignment and strength training system, then reassess so you can see your scores and ranges of motion change over time.

How it works

Assess. Train. Reassess.

Your numbers set the starting line, guide the plan and show you what is changing.

  1. Assess

You perform a set of movements in front of a LiDAR camera. No sensors or markers to wear. Kinotek builds a 3D picture of how you move.

  2. See your numbers

We walk you through your scored report: ranges of motion, left–right imbalances, compensations and movement quality.

  3. Train

Your plan uses StretchFormation’s proprietary training system, built to improve exactly what the assessment measures.

  4. Reassess & track

We repeat the assessment and compare results, so progress shows up in the data, not just in how you feel.

What we measure

Objective data across every movement

Kinotek’s report is designed to be client-friendly: it shows your mobility, imbalances, compensations and movement quality, with 3D visuals of you moving.

Range of motion

How far your joints move across each movement, so mobility is a number, not a guess.

Left–right symmetry

Imbalances between your left and right sides, so we know where to focus.

Compensations & movement quality

How you get into a position, not just whether you get there.

Scores you can track

A scored report with 3D visuals, so we can compare one assessment to the next.

About Kinotek’s technology

Kinotek is a functional movement assessment platform built for fitness, sports and medical professionals. It uses a single LiDAR camera and 3D motion capture, so there is nothing to strap on: the camera captures you moving and Kinotek’s software turns that into scores, metrics and 3D visuals. Kinotek’s library includes 65 movements, which lets us choose an assessment that fits your goals, and Kinotek says a 5-movement assessment can be completed in seconds.

The value for you is simple: instead of “I think this is tight,” we can show you your numbers, and show you how they change.

Why we train the way we do

Measuring is only half of it. StretchFormation’s proprietary training system is how we move your numbers: alignment, balanced strength, stability and dynamic movement, supported by supporting therapies like assisted stretching and myofascial release when a restriction is in the way. We believe it is the best way to improve what the assessment measures, and reassessment lets you see the results for yourself.

Assessments in your membership

Ongoing reassessment is built into our semi-private memberships (small groups of 1 to 4 people):

  • Momentum includes a monthly movement assessment and plan progression.
  • Performance includes a weekly movement assessment and plan progression.

Prefer one-on-one? Single 55-minute sessions are one-on-one. Compare memberships and pricing.

Not a medical evaluation: Our assessment measures movement to guide training. It does not diagnose or treat any condition. If you have pain, a recent injury or a medical condition, please check with a licensed healthcare provider before starting.
